Julianna Margulies doesn`t want her son to be an actor
The Emmy Award-winning actress has a two-year-old child, Kieran, with her husband Keith Lieberthal. Although she knows she has years before her son decides what he wants to do with his life, she is already praying he won`t decide to follow in her footsteps and become an actor.
"Listen, whatever he wants to do I will support wholeheartedly but I hope he doesn`t want to become an actor," the 43-year-old star said. "It`s a very difficult profession to break in to and it`s hard. So if he does want to be an actor, then at 18 he can make that choice. Until then, he?s going to school."
While Julianna hopes Kieran doesn`t go into showbiz, she is extremely glad she did. The star loves her profession because it lets her escape her real life, which was especially useful when she was a new mother.
"I started filming my latest movie City Island when I had just had my baby, and it was so good to be out of my own skin for a minute, and get back into acting and to sort of find my identity again as an actor," she explained to Moviefone.com. "And to be able to play someone so out there, it was just fun to disappear."
